Entwood Lure Coursers
We at Entwood have been "in" lure coursing since 1981 for Tom and 1984 for Leslie. One or the other of us served in all the trial positions at the "old" Garden State Sighthound Association (GSSA) in the 1980s: Machinery Mechanic, Lure Operator, Huntmaster, Field Trial Secretary, Field Trial Chairperson, Premium Preparer (including course layouts), and all the "grunt jobs".... but, especially after we started Entwood in 1989 and moved into Northeastern Pennsylvania, we had lots of Conformation Champions and a number of Obedience Titleists, we never had an intent courser.

In 1996, in an reciprocal agreement with Linda Deustch of Tal Al Arz Salukis, Leslie obtained "Ariel" a yearling Saluki bitch, who got us back into active coursing and into the world of multiple titles. Ariel became CH El Saqr Ariadne Tal Al Arz CD F.Ch. and a member of the Entwood senior citizen crowd until she left us in May 2007, just short of 12 years old... ans still loving to compete in all performance events. This started us on the path of breeding for performance AND show Borzois... with a couple of slight detours.

In 1997, we welcomed Buncrana's Great White Way, a.k.a. Star the Whippet. She was a game little competitor in the tough world of ASFA & AKC Whippet coursing. She has an AKC Master Courser award was always in there trying, even as a Veteran until she retired.
