The Melockoff Connection

Even before the first of our planned attempts at a breeding that would give us (hopefully) Dual Champions (DC), one of our "Constellations" (q.v.) show litter girls who went to live with Ohio-based breeder, Gale Snoddy of Melockoff Borzoi, made us proud by becoming a DC! Thanks to Gale's coursing & show efforts, our girl became Am.DC Cn.CH Entwood Corona Borealis SC F.Ch.. Gale then bred "Cora" to one of Bonnie Dalzell's speed demons, DC Silkenswift Blaze of Chaos, MC LCMIV ( a potent sire of coursing Borzois) and our "due puppy" came to live with us. He is now FC Melockoff Entwood Weekendwarrior MC F.Ch., known to the eastern coursing community as "Ender". Ender was whelped on 9/24/99, a bit over three months before our first closely planned coursing litter, the "Humphry Bogart" litter, which was whelped on 1/4/00. Ender finished his AKC & ASFA field championships quickly and has continued to compete... even though he now "runs like a field champion". ("Who, me? Follow?) He is still blinding fast and loves to run.... all over the field! He was also a "Cover Boy" on the AKC "Events" magazine. His efforts were followed by several of the "Humphry Bogart" litter Borzoi.
