Bogart Litter Show

Furry was the only member of the 10 puppies of the "Bogart" litter (whelped 1/4/00) to acquire a conformation championshipin the usual time frame. This litter has been an almost textbook example as to why the only certainty of a show title is if one shows one's own dog. "Skye" (Entwood High Sierra) was shown for her owner by Leslie and has both majors... but her owner (like so many people these days) changed her lifestyle. "Lefty" (Entwood The Left Hand of God) was being shown (and winning) even after the coursing "incident" and relocation stopped that, also. "Blue" (FC Entwood Big City Blues MC F.Ch.) was being shown locally (and also winning) and did continue showing successfully in California until, again, a change in emphasis by his new owners stopped any further showing or coursing. It sometimes works the other way, though. The "pick male" of the litter chosen by co-breeder Traci Hilbert, Blue Spin's The Maltese Flacon ("Falco"), did not compete in show or coursing until he was sold to a show home at around 4 years of age and is now a full-fledged show champion (even though a self black here in the Northeast). What can you do when you have more good prospects than you have space for? Pray. .... and prepare to be frustrated.
